"THE SHRINES OF FRANCE"
DAY 1 : Arrival from the U.S. at Orly or CDG airport. Meeting
and assistance by your tour guide and transfer to Orly West airport for your onward
connection to LOURDES.
PARIS / LOURDES
- Early afternoon we arrive at LOURDES - the greatest Shrine of all of France and Highlight of our
Pilgrimage.Most people have a mental image of LOURDES which dissolves the instant they visit the town - few are prepared
by what they have read or seen in pictures to grasp the sheer beauty of the place. The
town is dominated by a picture book castle and the "Grotto"
where the "Beautiful Lady" appeared
to Bernadette. It is more dramatic and
larger than you expect. The people you meet there are the most amazing part of the entire
experience, they seem possesed of a Loving Spirit which puts electricity in the air. At
night they stroll the narrow streets singing aloud, laughing and full of joy. They come
from all nations and if you cannot understand their language you can easily understand
their smiles, whether they experience another miracle or not, they consider it a miracle
enough to find themselves as pilgrims at long last in LOURDES.
- AFTERNOON MASS AT "THE CLARISSE CHURCH".
- Dinner and overnight at LOURDES.
- EVENING CANDLELIGHT PROCESSION RECITING THE ROSARY AND
SINGING HYMNS TO THE MOTHER OF GOD.

DAY 2 : LOURDES
- After breakfast we start our visit of LOURDES. Here in 1858, a simple peasant girl Bernadette Soubirou was visited several times by the Virgin Mary.
We are priviliged to be at the Grotto where those miraculous visions took place. It is a
deeply mooving experience to spend time in this village of miracles, kneel at the Grotto
where Bernadette knelt, visit the
Chapel of St Bernadette,
the Chapel
of the Rosary.

DAY 3 :LOURDES / CARCASSONNE /
AVIGNON
Early departure to CARCASSONNE - the picturesque medieval town with ramparts, towers, a basilica and a
castle. Early in the afternoon we proceed to AVIGNON - city of the POPES...View
of the old bridge, we visit the PALACE OF THE POPES

DAY 4 : AVIGNON / ARS / CLUNY /
PARAY LE MONIAL
- Early departure along the RHONE
VALLEY to ARS - Parish of Saint Cure.
- We then continue to CLUNY - visit of
the Basilica, a marvel of gothic architecture. Continue to PARAY LE MONIAL where our LORD appeared to
- St Margaret Mary to promote devotions through his most Sacred Heart.

DAY 5 : NEVERS / CHARTRES / PARIS
- Early departure to NEVERS
where we visit the convent where
- ST BERNADETTE’s
incorrupt body lies.
- We then continue to CHARTRES - as we approach CHARTRES, great towers arise suddenly like a vision out of the surrounding
cornfields commanding the skyline of the region. The Cathedral is one of the greatest of
French Cathedrals. It is an elegant and majestic combination of romanesque and gothic art
at their perfection. Its windows are a breathtaking miracle of stained glass. Each of the
186 windows is a masterpiece rivaled only by the 1800 carved figures of the Cathedral. We
then continue to our final destination : PARIS, city of lights...

DAY 6 : PARIS / LISIEUX / PARIS
- This morning we commence our tour through the French country - side to LISIEUX -

Theresa of the Child Jesus visit the Carmelite Convent, the Basilica,
the Buissonnets - home of the Martin’s family and places connected with the life of the "Little Flower"

DAY 7 : PARIS
- We celebrate Mass at the Shrine of the
"MIRACULOUS MEDAL" where our Blessed Lady appeared to St Catherine Labouré.
- We continue our tour to the beautiful
NOTRE DAME CATHEDRAL,
- the St Chapelle, the Hotel de Ville (Town Hall), Place de la Bastille, Montmartre with the fascinating artist square and the
Basilica of the Sacré
Coeur.
- In the afternoon we will visit modern
PARIS - we will drive by the Louvre Museum with its famous
Pyramid, the Concorde, the Champs
Elysées, the Arc de Triomphe, the Eiffel
Tower, the National Assembly, the Sorbonne University and the Panthéon.

DAY 8 : PARIS /
NEW-YORK
